MPQ4228GRE-C-AEC1-P

MPQ4228-C integrates a monolithic, stepdown switch-mode converter with a single USB current-limit switch, as well as a Type-C 5V at 3A mode configuration channel for USB ports. It achieves 3A of output current across a wide input supply range, with excellent load and line regulation. The USB switch’s output is current-limited. The USB port supports charging downstream port (CDP) schemes. The USB port also supports USB Type-C 5V @ 3A DFP mode. Fault condition protections include hiccup current limiting, output over-voltage protection (OVP), DP/DM/CC1/CC2 short-to-battery protection, and thermal shutdown (TSD). The MPQ4228-C requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components, and is available in a QFN-22 (4mmx4mm) package. Applications include USB charging downstream ports (CDP), USB Type-C DFP ports, USB hubs.
