C8051F987-C-GU is an ultra-low power microcontroller (MCU) that has been designed from the ground up to be highly power-effective. The MCU features a powerful 8051 core with 25MHz performance along with 8KB flash, 0.5KB RAM and a - ADC in a 8.65x3.9 mm, QSOP24 package. With very low active and sleep currents and fast wake-up times, this is ideal for applications such as water/gas meters, sensor interfaces, alarm systems portable healthcare products and other low-power applications.

• 2 built-in supply monitors (brownout detector) for sleep mode and active modes
• Data-dependent windowed interrupt generator, built-in temperature sensor
• Supports buttons, slider, wheel, capacitive proximity sensing, fast 40µs per channel conversion time
• Programmable hysteresis and response time, configurable as wake-up or reset source comparator
• Up to ±500µA, can be used as a bias or for generating a custom reference voltage
• Pipelined instruction architecture; executes 70% of instructions in 1 or 2 system clocks
• Hardware SMBus™/I2C™, SPI™, and UART serial ports available concurrently
• On-chip debug circuitry facilitates full-speed, nonintrusive in-system debug (no emulator required)
• Temperature rating range from -40 to +85°C
