MIKROE-6848 is an I2C MUX 9 Click compact add-on board designed to expand a single I2C bus into multiple independently controlled channels. This Click board™ is based on the NCA9548A, an 8-channel I2C-bus switch with reset functionality from Nexperia. The NCA9548A operates as an octal bidirectional translating switch that routes the upstream SCL and SDA lines to any of eight downstream channels, individually or in combination, through a programmable I2C control register, while an active-low reset input allows recovery from bus lock-up conditions. The Click board™ supports I2C clock speeds of up to 400kHz, configurable I2C addressing, and 6V tolerant I/O pins. It is well suited for sensor aggregation systems, modular embedded platforms, industrial and automotive electronics, and applications requiring flexible I2C bus management. I2C MUX 9 Click is fully compatible with the mikroBUS™ socket and can be used on any host system supporting the mikroBUS™ standard.
