Product Overview
The VC120630D650DP is a multilayer Ceramic Varistor that provides a wide range of reliable SMT components for bi-directional overvoltage protection with the advantage of EMI/RFI attenuation in the off-state. TransGuard® multilayer varistor is zinc oxide (ZnO) based ceramic semiconductor devices with non-linear voltage-current characteristics (bi-directional) similar to back-to-back zener diodes. This varistor has the added advantage of greater current and energy handling capabilities, very fast turn-on time, multiple strikes capabilities as well as EMI/RFI attenuation in the off-state. The increasing use of electronics in all areas requires reliable protection against transient voltages as well as EMI/RFI filtering. AVX TransGuard® Varistors help to achieve both functions with single component.
